Honestly, I do more than just sit in front of my computer all day long, jerking off to cute twinks.
I like to kick back read a good book on my Kindle, or watch some entertaining flicks from Netflix or my DVD collection.
Yes, I even read the news, online and am involved in today’s current affairs, as depressing as they are. One of the reasons why I do enjoy my Porn so much, it helps get rid of the daily depression from this stupid crazy world.
Anyhow, the other night I watched a rather entertain, albeit fanciful, movie from Netflix, called “What Happens Next”
I like the notion, that some guy could retire from business, and find out that he’s attracted to guys.
As with my twinks, I am rather picky about some of the movies I watch. I guess its an old person thing, after all.
Now the story line is well, bit hard to swallow but damn, I wish it were so.
See, this rather uptight conservative type, spent his entire life building up his business, and suddenly he’s sold it off, has big bucks, and is only fifty five years old, in pretty damn good shape too. (Fuck that alone has me wishing I was in his place.)
It had some great moments too, with the uptight society sister of this guy, the artist son of hers, and of course the way this guy comes to realize, that he does indeed prefer guys to gals.
Nice too, thinking that gay guys can sit in a park, cuddle, talk, without being harassed or worse, be arrested like they are in Russia. (Told you, I do have a life outside of my twink fantasies). It is fun to just kick back and not worry about life, to be entertained with some humor about what it is like figuring out what a gay guy does in bed.
That part of the movie actually had me chuckling quite a bit, especially when there was a knock on his door, and he couldn’t figure out how to turn off the sex video he was watching.
Still, it does also point out the reality of our being Gay, even if we live in a so called enlighten society like Canada, England, or the United States. We just can’t be totally “out” to our family, friends, because many simply can’t cope with it, or for that matter understand it.
No wonder so many of us, are never truly out of the closet, and in some ways, this movie kind of made that a point, least for me. After all, I did grow up at the time when being gay was still considered a mental illness. I was fortunate to see the changes, the gradual acceptence develop, but all these years later, it is still evolving.
Bottom line though, is that while the movie had some ‘social conscience’ to it, it wasn’t hitting you square in the face. It was discreet, like most of us older guys still are, about our sexuality. Plus, it was what I call a “Fluff” movie, where the goal was to entertain, to give one a giggle or two.
And on that score, I have to say, “What Happens Next” was a hit for me. I did enjoy it, and the acting wasn’t bad. Some rather sterotypical characters, but the central two, well, they clicked. Plus, the love interest, was rather cute and adorable too. I did like him, and while he is no twink, he could easily pass for a more mature one.
